Obituary for Aldea P. Depot
Aldea (Pelletier) Depot, 100, widow of Cyril Depot, died November 18, 2007 in St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. She was born April 9, 1907 in Manville, RI. She moved to East Hampton, MA and attended local schools. After her marriage to Cyril, they moved to Willimantic at the age of 22. She and her husband retired from the American Thread Co., and after retiring, Aldea continued her education and received her L.P.N. license. She worked at Windham Hospital for 7 years and later, in private practice for Dr. Nellie Nepomosemo for 5 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and an active member in many societies including serving as president of St. Anne’s Society for 8 years. Her survivors include a nephew and niece Alfred and Eveline Cote of Willimantic; a wonderful godchild, Marianne Cote also of Willimantic, a caring, loving niece, Lorraine Bassett of Storrs, a godchild, Bonnie Meunier and little Hannah Meunier of Coventry and many more nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by nine sisters and two brothers. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11/21/07, at 1:00 pm in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic followed by a procession to the church. A special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph Living Center for the care and comfort they provided Aldea, while she resided there.
