Obituary for Alexandrine (Cadrin) Lussier
Alexandrine Lussier, 95, of Willimantic, beloved wife of the late Rudolph Lussier, died July 22, 2010 at home. She was born June 6, 1915 in Canada the daughter of George and Lyzzie (Bolduc) Cadrin. Alexandrine came to the U.S. at the age of 15 and has lived in Willimantic for the last 80 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church since then and was employed by the American Thread Co. for 35 years. Alex loved to work in her vegetable garden and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, René Lussier and his partner Connie Olson of Willimantic; two grandchildren: Selena Eddy and her husband Rick of Ashford and Lisa Rogde and her husband Erik of Hampton; two great grandchildren: Ambrosia Lussier of Groton and Jason Serene of Hampton; also a great, great grandchild Nickolis Lussier of Ashford. She also leaves a brother Claude Cadrin of Canada, two sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews and friends. Her family will receive friends on Monday, 7/26/10, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT followed by a procession to St. Mary Church on Valley St. for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery on Club Rd. in Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Hospice of E. CT, 34 Ledgebrook Dr. Mansfield Center, CT 06250 or St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
