Obituary for Anna (Cerreto) Heon
Anna (Cerreto) Heon, 89, entered eternal rest on Monday at St. Joseph Living Center.  She was born on March 5, 1919 in Willimantic to the late Vincenzo and Madeline Cerreto. She was later married to her beloved Maurice J. Heon Sr., who predeceased her. Together they made their family and worked in the area.  Anna worked at Electro Motive and American Thread while raising her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed crocheting and made hundreds of hats and mittens for local children. She also enjoyed coloring, day trips, and bingo at St. Joseph Living Center with her many friends.  Anna is survived by her son Maurice (Moe) and his wife Pat Heon, grandchildren; Brian and his wife Megan, and Marc along with numerous nieces and nephews. While they were all special, she was most supported in her later years by her nieces Phyllis Stensland and Marlene Coughlin and her nephew Raymond Heon. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers; Tony, Sylvester, Rocky, Ted, Michael and Joseph, and her sisters; Phyllis, Catherine, Connie and Mary.  The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses, staff and residents of St. Joseph Living Center for the loving care and friendship they gave Anna.  Her Funeral Mass was celebrated March 12, 2008 at St. Mary's Church in Willimantic. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Living Center, 14 Club Rd., Windham, CT. 06280
