Obituary for Barbara E. Arnold
Barbara E. Arnold, 72 of Niantic passed away Saturday February 26, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Edward Arnold and Helen (Bacon) Riordan.
She was born on June 12, 1949 in Willimantic, CT. In 2008 Barbara moved to Niantic Connecticut to be closer to the ocean and her childhood friends. Barbara worked in customer service for well over 30 years. Barbara’s greatest loves were her daughter, her partner, her two grandsons and great grandson. Barbara was a free spirit, she enjoyed traveling when she was younger and her intoxicating smile could light up a room. Barbara’s sense of humor was contagious and she will always be remembered for her grace and style. Barbara was a people person and made many friends over the years. She is loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Therrien) Farris of Willington; a brother, Richard Arnold (Paulette) of Rochester, MA; grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) and Nicholas Swanson; a greatgrandchild,Alexander Xan Swanson, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, many greatnieces and nephews, and also leaves her partner of 12 years, Gregory Lewis of Niantic. She also leaves behind Ken Hoysradt and Hayden Hoysradt and many dear friends.
