Obituary for Beverly A. Meduna
Beverly A. Meduna of Ashford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 29, 2019 at Backus Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born January 2, 1945 to the late Ovila and Ann (Medura) Kelley. Beverly grew up in Mansfield and lived in Ashford for the last 50+ years. Beverly worked at the Brand Rex Company and then later as Co-Owner of Kelley’s Septic Tank Service. Beverly was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Beverly enjoyed going on cruises and visiting the casino. She had a great love for cats, as well as always looking for bargains.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly.
She leaves behind her sons, Robert Meduna and wife Dawn of Mansfield, and Scott Meduna and companion Elizabeth Acosta of Ashford: her partner of 35+ years David Woodward of Ashford; her brother Raymond Kelley of Englwood, FL; 3 grandchildren Samantha Meduna and companion James Knight of Willington, Shawn Meduna and wife Marrisa of Columbia, and Dylan Meduna of Mansfield; a great grandchild Carson Privee of Willington; several nieces and nephews and many dear-friends, especially Virginia Racicot and Vivian Mitchell. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and William Kelley.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday July 8th from 6 to 8pm at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 9th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Our Companions Animal Sanctuary 46 Floating Rd Ashford, CT 06278.
