Obituary for Bruce F. Chapel

Bruce F.Chapel, 77, of Hampton, CT passed away at home Thursday April 13, 2023. He was born on August 11, 1945 in Hampton, CT son of the late Sherman and Hildred Chapel. After graduating from Windham High he went on to Windham Tech to study TV and Radio repair. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. After returning from Vietnam he lived in Alaska and North Carolina before moving back to Hampton where he met his wife Lorraine and her two sons Marc and Craig Kelley who he loved as his own. Bruce owned Bruce’s Electronics for many years and then Joker’s Café. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Hampton Fire Department. Bruce believed in enjoying life. He enjoyed motorcycles, red convertibles, his home, spending time with his family and friends and his Sunday morning meetings with his closest friends, Paul Crawford, Alan Burdick, Ned Vogler and anyone else who would stop by. All were welcome. Bruce was a loving and caring man who would help anyone he could. Bruce was loved by everyone who knew him. Most people considered Bruce part of the family more than a friend. Bruce will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his two stepsons, Craig Kelley and his partner Terry Williams and Marc Kelley and his wife Lois; his granddaughter Casey (Kelley) Bazzano and her husband Frank, and his grandson Devon Kelley; his sister Ann (Chapel) Garrett and his brother Clark Chapel and his wife Connie; his brother-in-law Al Ameer; sister-in-law Joan Burnore and many nieces and nephews.
