Obituary for Cecelia "Skip" (Majcher) Charron
Cecelia “Skip” (Majcher) Charron, widow of Ernest “Bill” Charron, died December 29, 2007 in Windham Hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 22, 1925 in Willimantic to the late John and Anastasia (Buras) Majcher. Skip was employed by the Electro-Motive Co., Conn Cycle and the Lebanon School System. She enjoyed dancing, roller skating and bowling. She was a Red Sox fan, enjoyed watching UCONN women’s basketball and NASCAR racing. Skip & Bill would vacation in New Hampshire, Vermont and Saratoga to watch horse racing. She and her friends would also try their luck at the casino. Skip was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Her survivors include two sons, Dennis and Gary Charron both of Chaplin; four grandchildren: Nichole Charron of Windham, Jacob Charron, U.S.A.F. of Windham, stationed in Japan, Seth and Ian Charron both of Chaplin. She also leaves a great grandson, Devin Chappell of Mansfield and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 10 am in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham, CT. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Windham Hospital Building Fund, 112 Mansfield Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226.
