Obituary for Conrad D. Sevigny
Conrad D. Sevigny, 86, of Chaplin, husband of the late Lillian (LaChappelle) Sevigny, died Monday, 2/5/07, in Windham Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1920 in Warwick, Canada the son of Albert & Albertine (St. Onge) Sevigny. He was a union mason employed by several contractors, retiring in 1985. Conrad was a prizefighter in the in the decade of the thirties. He was a member of the French Club, the American Legion, the V.F.W., the Moose Club and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. He is survived by several nieces and nephews including Arlene Nye of North Windham and Simone Veilleux of Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 2/9/07, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
