Obituary for Delphis J. Beaulieu
On November 09, 2015 Delphis J. Beaulieu passed away peacefully at Vernon Manor after a long illness. Del was born in Willimantic on August 5, 1925 the son of Mr.& Mrs. Jean Baptiste Beaulieu. He leaves his wife and true love of 70 years, Juanita (McTott) Beaulieu; sons: John & his wife Cheryl Beaulieu of Windham, Richard Beaulieu and Tia Damato of Scotland, CT, and daughter Dianne Jones and her husband Kevin of Windham. He leaves his sister Doris Bassett of Columbia; also twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter Evelyn and sons Lawrence and Gregory Beaulieu. During World War 2, Del joined the Marine Corps and served as a Marine crew chief in the Pacific Theater. On returning from the war, he worked various jobs before starting his 38 year career with the CT Light & Power Co. Del along with his wife Juanita made pastoral visits at Windham Hospital for 25 years. His interests included woodworking, playing guitar, working around the house and watching UCONN basketball. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11/13/15, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 46 Valley St. Willimantic. Burial with full military honors will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
