Obituary for Dolores (Cloutier) Bergeron
Willimantic- Dolores (Cloutier) Bergeron, 90, of Willimantic, wife of Hector Bergeron, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Douglas Manor in Windham. Born March 22, 1919 in Willimantic, the youngest of 13, daughter of the late Albert Cloutier and Lovina (Morrissette) Cloutier. Dolores attended St. Mary School and Windham High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the Lafrance Beverage Co., a clerk at the University of Connecticut, and a Medical Secretary at the Mansfield Training School. She was also employed at Eastern Connecticut State University as a secretary in 1961, retiring as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church and a member of St. Mary Guild and St. Anne Society. She was also a member of the CT State Employees Union Chapter 408. Besides her husband of 63 years, Hector, her survivors include three children: a son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Susan (Modzelesky) Bergeron of Enfield, a daughter Jacquelyn of Willimantic, and daughter and son-in-law Anne Marie and Tommy Burnett of Franklin, Texas. She also leaves 11 grandchildren: Kevin, Scott, Jeffrey, David, Melissa, Heather, Rebecca and Kimberly Bergeron and Benjamin, Aron, and Christopher Burnett and one great-granddaughter, Emalyn Bergeron. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Seven sisters: Priscilla Foley, Rose Morley, Leona Paulhus, Florence, Lena and Lillian Cloutier and Germaine Camillo, and five brothers: Aime, Joseph, Rene and twins, Augustin and Antoine Cloutier predeceased her. Dolores will be remembered lovingly as the patient, generous, kind-hearted, loving person she was. Calling hours will be at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic on Tuesday, June 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, June 17th from 10:00 to 10:30 AM followed by a procession to St. Mary Church for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.
