Obituary for Donald Custer Williams
Donald Custer Williams, 88, passed away Saturday February 1, 2020 in Windham. He was the son of the late Norbert and Margaret (Graf) Williams
Born on November 27, 1931 in New York City, he was a long time resident of Hampton. He graduated from Windham High School and attended the University of Connecticut School of Engineering and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by Raytheon Engineering in Stamford until his retirement at age 65. He loved animals and especially enjoyed the company of his cats that he loved dearly. He also enjoyed spending time at flea markets and tinkering with electronics.
He is survived by his cousin, Margaret Graf; his neighbors and friends, Ciro Vitalo, The Tobin Family, the Hanyckyj Family, Josh Robinson and Angie LaFlamme. Many thanks to the kind staff at Windham Hospital and Douglas Manor.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday Feb 5, at 10AM at North Cemetery Hammond Hill Rd, Hampton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Campanions Animal Sanctuary 46 Floeting Rd, Ashford, CT. 06278.
