Obituary for Edward William "Bill" Bushey
Edward "Bill" Bushey, age 72, passed away peacefully on July 13th, 2016 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was courageous until the very end. Bill was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on November 12th, 1943, the son of Edward and Emma (Pyle) Bushey. In August of 1963 he married the love of his life, Ann M. Belisle in Willimantic, Connecticut. They lived in Willimantic for 37 years where they raised their three daughters. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for 37 years until his retirement. In addition to his loving and devoted wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Christine Bushey, Kathleen and husband, Ross Ellison, Wendy and husband, Steven O'Connor and his grandchildren, the lights of his life, best buddy William and his little princess, Abigail O'Connor. He is survived by his twin sister, Eleanor and husband, Charles Quick and brother, John and wife Mary Ellen Bushey and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret (Peggy) Kleinman. Bill also leaves behind is beloved friends, Rodney "Joe" Coriarty and wife Barbara, Norman Pichette, Allen and Helena Richter, and Dick and Jane Smith.
There will be calling hours held at Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect Street, Willimantic, CT on Sunday, July 17th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Please join us for a funeral mass at 11:00am on Monday, July 18th at St. Mary's Church, Valley Street, Willimantic, CT. Burial will be private.
