Obituary for Eveline D. (Michaud) Coté

Eveline D. (Michaud) Coté, 87, of Willimantic, CT, beloved wife of Alfred R. Coté, died April 30, 2010 in Windham Hospital. She was born August 8, 1922 in Willimantic the daughter of William and Marie (LeBlanc) Michaud. A communicant of St. Mary Church in Willimantic, she was active in the Society of St. Anne, St. Mary Guild and the Family Life Committee. Besides her husband Alfred, her survivors include three children: Michael A. Coté and his wife Barbara of Pottsville, PA, Marianne Coté of Willimantic and William J. Coté and Paula Hodges of Key West, FL; a granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Coté. She also leaves two sisters; Lorraine Smith of Pomfret, CT and Jeannette Solnick of Alpharetta, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Jane Coté and four sisters and four brothers. “Evie”, as she was known to many, loved her family and friends with great zeal. Her collections, expertise in shopping and gift-giving was known to all. She loved her trips to Maine and Nubble Light, gatherings with family and friends, all her puppies and the Red Sox. Her family will receive relatives and friends Monday, 5/3/10, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic followed by a procession to St. Mary Church on Valley St. for the celebration of her Funeral Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Church Repair Fund, 80 Maple Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226.
