Obituary for Fern (Johnson) Tatro
Fern (Johnson) Tatro, 87, of Willimantic, Beloved wife, for 59 years, of Robert Tatro, died Tuesday evening, September 18, 2007 at Haven Health Center of Windham. She was born in Ellendale, Minn. On December 19, 1919, the daughter of the late Omer and Esther (Carlson) Johnson. She retired from the Electro-Motive Co. after 28 years, where she was a supervisor for many years. She was a devoted wife, traveled extensively with her husband to many foreign countries, and when home, tended her beautiful flower garden. She is predeceased by her brother Floyd Johnson. Her survivors include two nieces, Mary Lou Yourconis and Priscilla Chatelle and her husband, Paul of Willimantic; a great niece, Jacqueline Benoit of Coventry and a great nephew, Raymond Benoit of Willimantic. She also leaves several cousins in Minnesota. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, 9/21/07, at 11:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Visitation will be Friday, from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
