Obituary for Fidelis (Dufresne) Mangano
Fidelis (Dufresne) Mangano, 97, of Willimantic, beloved wife of the late Andrew J. Mangano, died July 26, 2012 in St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, CT. She was born September 2, 1914 in Willimantic, CT the daughter of Charles Emile and Bernadette (Dion) Dufresne.”Diddy” was a great lover of poetry and verse, and found considerable enjoyment in creating her own compositions. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters: Gertrude Potter and Emilienne Fallon; a brother, Roderick Dufresne and a granddaughter, Laurie (Mangano) Witty. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Andrew and Suzanne (Viens) Mangano of Dunnellon, FL, Mark and Jean (Adamcik) Mangano of Willimantic and Peter Mangano of Marana, AZ. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Deborah, Thomas and James Mangano all of Florida; Lisa of Brooklyn, NY and Vincent of Essex, CT. Moreover, she has nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends Monday, 7/30/12, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT followed by a procession to St. Joseph Church, Jackson St. Willimantic for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
