Obituary for Florence H. (LaBranche) Pepin
Florence H. (LaBranche) Pepin, 93, of Willimantic, beloved wife of the late Florimond Pepin, died June 25, 2010 in St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, CT. She was born December 7, 1916 in Newmarket, NH the daughter of George and Lydia (Duquette) LaBranche. She had been employed by the University of CT in Dining Services for 16 years. She was an avid fan of UCONN’s Women’s Basketball. Mrs. Pepin’s life revolved around her family. Her survivors includes: a son, Richard Pepin and his wife Lynette of Willimantic; four daughters: Pauline Kelly and her husband William of No. Windham, Juliette Elliott and her husband James of Canterbury, Janet Rake and her husband Rick of Willimantic and Donna Sharp and her husband James of Canterbury. Also surviving are two sisters Doris Kalway and Lillian Roberge. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren: Dawn, Diana, Ricky, Patrick, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Joanna, Tracy, Michael, Mark, Hillary, Ashley, Eric and John; sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 6/28/10, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Monday, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT followed by a procession to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280 or St. Mary Church Repair Fund, 80 Maple Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226.
