Obituary for Frances E. Carpenter
Frances E. Carpenter, 91, of Willimantic, widow of Warner W. Carpenter, died Sunday, 3/11/07, in Windham Hospital. She was born April 10, 1915 in Willimantic the daughter of Frank and Pauline (Litwin) Czajka. She had been employed by the American Thread Co. for over 35 years. Mrs. Carpenter was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Her survivors include two daughters: Deanna Korner and her husband, Robert of Ashford and Marilyn Hoza and her husband, Arthur of Somers; a son, Kenneth Carpenter and his wife, Donna of Hampton and a sister, Josephine Tirone of Willimantic. She also leaves five grandchildren: John Korner, Kristine Korner, Todd Hoza, Jason Carpenter and Daniel Carpenter; also five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers: Edward, Victor and Joseph Czajka and a sister, Mary Jaszczur. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 3/14/07, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.
