Obituary for Francis G. Elliott
Francis G. Elliott, 90, of Willimantic, husband of the late Marion (Sypher) Elliott for 55 years, passed away, peacefully, Monday, 2/134/06, in Manchester Manor, with his son and daughter by his side. He was born Oct. 18, 1915 in Canaan, VT the son of John V. and Alda (Guay) Elliott. He had been employed by Kendall Corp. for several years, retiring in 1980. He previously worked for the Mansfield Training School and prior to that, for the American Screw Co. He was an Army veteran of World War 2, and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. His survivors include a son, John G. Elliott and his wife, Yvette of North Windham; a daughter, Carol Carabino of Willington; five grandchildren: Christy Elliott of California, Vincent Carabino of Willington, Rebecca Carabino of Plainfield, Jana Carabino and her husband, Daniel Kramer of Southington and Jarred Carabino of Willington. He also leaves four great-grandchildren: Hailey and Chelsey English, Faith and Bella Carabino and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters: Meddie, Eugene, Leo, Addie, Ted, Dominic, Romeo and Jessy Elliott and Addie Gray. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 2/18/06, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again Saturday, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
