Gaston G. Gosselin, 84, of Willimantic, husband of Clarisse (Roy) Gosselin passed away Thursday September 1, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Binette) Gosselin. Gaston was born on October 3, 1937 in East Angus P.Q., Canada. Gaston and his family immigrated to the U.S. in May of 1967 and lived in Willimantic for 55 years. His first employment was at the American Thread Company. Gaston was a Meat Manager at Better Value grocery store for 18 years. He also worked at Manchester Packing for almost 18 years. Gaston was a 4th degree honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus and also a member of the Franco-American Civic & Social Club. Gaston loved gardening, golfing and cooking and was an avid animal lover. He especially loved spending time with his family cooking Sunday night dinners at his home. After retirement, Gaston worked as a handy man with his son Richard and grandson Joshua at the family business “Gosselin & Sons” for 10 years.
Gaston is survived by his wife of 64 years Clarisse (Roy) Gosselin, his sister Yvette (Gosselin) Ducharme, his brother Jean-Claude Gosselin, his daughter Lisa (Gosselin) Cassettari, son-In-law Mark Cassettari, his daughter Brigitte (Gosselin)Guerrera , son-in-law Emilio Guerrera, , his son Richard Gosselin, daughter in-law Alicia (Gustke) Gosselin. His grand-children, Adam Cassettari wife Trisha (Mirante) Cassettari, Joshua Gosselin, Rachel (Rubino) Trinque husband Jesse Trinque, Nicole (Rubino) Sprague husband Kyle Sprague. His step grandchildren Steven Guerrera, Bridget Guerrera. His great grandchildren, Eva Trinque, Ivy Trinque, Clara Sprague. His step great grandchildren Sofia Koury, Asher Guerrera, Isabel Guerrera and also many nieces and nephews and brothers and sister in-laws living in Canada. We will never get over losing you Gaston, but we are comforted by the knowledge that you are only a moment away and that we will see each other again and we will embrace each other, laugh and cry and how happy we will be. Until then, sweet Gaston sleep softly.
