George Robert “Bob” Brouillette, 80, of Willimantic, died February 15, 2010 in Regency Heights Care Center in Willimantic, CT.
He was born May 25, 1929 in Waterbury, CT the son of Joseph A. and Eleanor (LaCouture) Brouillette.
Bob served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a Navy Corpsman. He was a member of the VFW Gold Star Post 1724, the D.A.V. Chapter 039 and the AMVETS in Willimantic. A devout Catholic, Bob sponsored several needy children throughout the world. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Willimantic.
His survivors include a sister, Rita T. Parla and her husband Anthony of Willimantic, CT and four nephews: Timothy Parla of South Carolina, Mark Parla of New York, Randy Parla of New Hampshire and Joseph Parla of Willimantic.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church on Valley St. in Willimantic Friday, 2/19/2010, at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Visitation will be private. The Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic has charge of arrangements.
