Obituary for Glenn Michael Sokolowski
Glenn Michael Sokolowski, 61, of Windsor Locks went unexpectedly to meet his maker on Friday May 10, 2019. He was the son of the late Rudolph Sokolowski.
Born on November 4, 1957, he was a Graduate of Windham High School Class of 1974 and attended Thames Valley studying electronics. He was a professional musician for over 10 years as a drummer under Glenn Michael’s and also worked as a salesman for Bernie’s Appliance for 10 years. He returned to school and obtained his degree in Computer Engineering and worked for Insight Global as a Senior Desktop Engineer. His coworkers mentioned about Glenn that “he was very professional and was an honor to work with”.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sokolowski of Willimantic; his sister and brother-in-law, Sherlene and David Eberwine of Suffolk, VA and daughter, Leah Early of Australia, his sister, Tina Marie Walsh of Chaplin; a niece, Jasmyn Bartlett and boys, Isaiah and Jonathan Bartlett, Bryana and Hector Vega, Mia, Elysha and Isaac of NC, a nephew, Timothy and Nicole Walsh of NH; and also leaves his close friends, Wayne and Heather Eisenbaum of Avon who will be caring for Glenn’s dog, Geeter , the sunshine of his life.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covenant Soup Kitchen 220 Valley St, Willimantic, CT. 06226.
