Obituary for Harry T. Limanni
Harry T. Limanni, of Willimantic, husband of the late Victoria “Vicky” Limanni, died Sunday, 12/17/06, at home. He was born April 8, 1921 in New London the son of Frank and Angelina (Lidestri) Limanni. Harry retired in 1985 from Dean Machine after 28 years as a foreman. During World War 2, he served with the Army in Italy, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the V.F.W., the Willimantic Elks and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Harry was an avid bowler and also dedicated his free time to helping others and working Bingo for the Ukrainian Home and the Elks. He will be missed by all who knew him. His survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and George L. Hovey of Willimantic; a grandson, Jason and a great grandson, Justice, whom he loved and adored. He also leaves three sisters: Rose Ashley, Sue Squires and Nancy Olsen all of Willimantic and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Luciani and Nina Limanni and a brother, Samuel Limanni all of Willimantic. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, 12/22/06, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.
