Obituary for Helen C. Federowicz
Helen C. Federowicz, 90, of Coventry, CT, widow of Chester B. Federowicz, died August 23, 2009 in Windham Hospital.
She was born May 15, 1919 in Jersey City, NJ to Emelian and Mary (Balaroos) Minka.
Helen had a long career at the Mansfield Training School where she was a Program Supervisor. She was an active volunteer at Windham Hospital, the First Congregational Church of Coventry and the Coventry Thrift Store.
Her survivors include two sons, John S. Federowicz of Storrs and Donn W. Federowicz of Coventry; six grandchildren: Kiev Federowicz, Melissa Martinez, Amanda Sandt, Karl Sandt, Shaun Sandt and Delyn Federowicz. She also leaves several great grandchildren including Kes Marie Federowicz.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, 8/27/09, at 5:00 pm in the First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St. Coventry. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 355, Coventry, CT 06238. The Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic has charge of arrangements.
