Obituary for Janet Sue Pearce
WILLIMANTIC – Janet Sue Pearce, 52, of North Street died peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the William W. Backus Hospital.    On December 27, 1959 she was born in Norwich, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Frederick Joseph and Marcella (Vegiard) Kogut.
She is the wife of Donald V. Pearce, Jr. whom she married on July 4, 1986. As a resident of Willimantic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Church for many years, she was well known in the community for her involvement with St. Mary-St. Joseph School where she served as the safety officer for several years. She was proud of the many safety measures that she was able to get implemented, including having a security system installed.  She was also actively involved with the Sunshine Committee at the school and served as the chairwoman for three years. For the past twenty-three years she has worked at CT Endodontics in Manchester as the office manager.
Janet was a caring, compassionate person who was always looking out for others, but above all, she was a loving wife and mother.
In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her son Jaden V. Pearce; her brother Ernest Green; nine nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, whose friendship she has treasured for many years, Dave and Lillian Kennedy.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Willimantic. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 839-41 Asylum Ave, Hartford, CT 06105.
