Obituary for Jean M. (Duchesneau) Lemire
Jean M. (Duchesneau) Lemire, 75, of Willimantic, beloved wife of Gerald R. Lemire, passed away June 14, 2017. She was born September 28, 1941 in Willimantic. The daughter of Adelard and Blanche (Trahan) Duchesneau, Jean grew up and spent her life in Windham where she was a loving daughter, wife, and mother to her three children before spending many years working in the Financial Aid Office at Eastern Connecticut State University, a job she enjoyed up until her retirement.
She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting beautiful afghans, her book club, and spending time at the beach. Jean loved being with her family, many friends, and, most of all, her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; Deanna Reinhold, and her husband, Peter, David Lemire and his wife, Donna, Michael Lemire and his wife, Sarah, and grandchildren; Peter, his wife, Chelsea, Bria, Cathryn, Jacob, Elizabeth, Jayne, Noah, Adriana, Alex and Jalissa. She also leaves her brother Allan Duchesneau and his wife Mary and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, 6/20/17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 6/21/17, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Valley St. Willimantic followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham.
