Obituary for Jeffrey C. Mazzola
Jeffrey C. Mazzola, of Coventry, Connecticut, died peacefully at home after a short but fierce fight with cancer surrounded by his loving family on June 15, 2022.
Born in Willimantic, Connecticut on March 26, 1956, Jeffrey was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Calkins Mazzola and his father, Joseph Anthony Mazzola. Jeffrey was employed by the U.S postal service and was a dedicated employee for thirty four years and retired as the Postmaster in Willimantic, Connecticut. He was a great family man and enjoyed watching football and baseball, vacationing, boating and spending time with his grandchildren who adored their Papi. If you ever needed anything he was the go-to and would do whatever you needed without any hesitation. Jeffrey always had wonderful stories to share creating laughter and lifelong memories.
Jeffrey spent the last twenty years with the love of his life Wendy, they were always side by side. Jeffrey’s life made a huge impact on everyone he met and those who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed especially by his wife, Wendy; his sons, Brian K. McMahon, Jr. and Michelle of Coventry, CT, Christopher & his wife Christine McMahon, of Coventry, CT, Nicholas & his wife Lisa McMahon, of Coventry, CT; his grandchildren, Ian, Kayli, Attianna, Matthew, Dylan, and Giselle. He also leaves behind his brothers who he shared special bonds with, Charlie & his wife Dawn Mazzola, of Colchester, CT, Joseph & his wife Kellie Mazzola, of Ellington, CT. Along with his beloved niece and only goddaughter Marissa Mazzola who he adored very much and nephew Corey Mazzola, He also leaves a special niece Holly Conroy of Denver, North Carolina. Jeffrey was forever grateful for his close circle of friends who he had lifetime memories with and they always gave him their unwavering support.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday June 23, from 5 to 7PM at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 24, at 10AM directly at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic.
