Obituary for Joseph Roland Frappier
Joseph R. Frappier, 74, of Willimantic, died in his home Sunday, 9/24/06. He was born October 25, 1931 in Willimantic, CT the son of Joseph Willie and Annette (Ducharme) Frappier. He served in the Army and was stationed at the Panama Canal. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from 1953 to 1992. Mr. Frappier was active in the North American Indian Club and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. He will be greatly missed by two brothers and three sisters: Robert and his wife, Myra of Manassas, VA, Richard of Storrs, CT, Solange and her husband, Charles of Gulfport, MS, Loraine and her husband, Paul of Newington, CT, and Margaret and her husband, Robert of St. Petersburg, FL; his children: Charlotte Berkner and her husband, Norman of Medusa, NY, Charles Frappier of Hampton, CT, Florence Morris of Grass Valley, CA, Rena Solomon and her husband, Dale of Kingsclear First Nation, Canada, and Helen Monroe and her husband, Charles of Hampton, CT. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren: Serena, Melissa, Denisa, Tiffany, Erica, Mimi, James, Anthony, Jenelle, Andrew, Joshua, Dale, Jr. and Mercedes; great grandchildren: John, Billy, Brandy, Stephanie, Ashley, Iziah and Luke. Also surviving are an aunt and uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and a lot of special neighbors and friends who were like family to him. Waiting to welcome him into heaven were his parents J. Willie and Annette Frappier, his brother, Willie (Toots), sisters: Doris Patricia and Cecile and his children, John and Doris and grandson, Matthew.Calling hours will be held Thursday, 9/28/06, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St. East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.
