Obituary for Josephine A. Harold
Josephine A. Harold, 94, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday January 19, 2020 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late William F. Harold.
She was born in Willimantic , daughter of the late Diego and Calogera (Guarneri) LaVecchia.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic and worked at Eastern CT State University and the University of Connecticut. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crossword puzzles, knitting and watching old western movies.
Josephine is survived by her son, Michael Harold of Willimantic and her grandchildren, Patrick and Lauren Harold. She also leaves her sisters, Rose Calli of Woodbury, Virginia Todd and her husband, Leonard of Storrs as well as many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends. Josephine was predeceased by her son, John W. Harold; her brother, Louis LaVecchia and her sisters, Carmela Leone, Angela Calli and Mary Marceno.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday January 24, from 9 to 10:30AM at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
