Obituary for Josephine M. Lombardo
Josephine M. Lombardo, 90, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 15, 2007. A resident of Willimantic all of her life, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Giraca) Lombardo. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Lombardo and sister, Jennie (Lombardo) Charron. Josephine, otherwise known as “Judga” worked at the University of CT for many years until her retirement. Judga spent a good portion of her life caring for her mother and father. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed. Her survivors include a sister, Augustine Lombardo Carchidi and her husband, Jack; two brothers: Phillip Lombardo and his wife, Elizabeth and Michael Lombardo and his wife, Myrtle and a brother-in-law, Joseph Charron; nieces: Karen Carchidi, Colleen Carchidi Lester, and her husband, Michael, JoAnn Charron Lynch and her husband, William, Joan Charron Nagle and her husband, Daniel, Michelle Lombardo Joly and her husband, David, Geraldine Lombardo Chalk and her husband, Dennis and JoAnn Lombardo Pomo and her husband, Gary; nephews: Peter Carchidi, Michael Lombardo and his wife, Joyce and Robert Lombardo and his wife, Donna. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 2/19/07, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
