Obituary for Juan Ramirez
Juan Ramirez, 63 of Willimantic lost his battle to Covid-19 on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Backus Hospital. He was the son of the late Francisco Ramirez and Dolores Cabral. Juan was a hardworking man that came to this country from Mexico over 30 years ago to build a better life for himself and his family. He created a new life on nothing but hard work and long hours as a skilled carpenter, plumber, electrician, and mechanic. When Juan wasn’t busy working, he loved spending his free time with his family. Juan’s children and grandchildren were his world. Being an “abuelo” to his two-year-old grandson Camarley, and one-month-old granddaughter Ayvianna, was one of his proudest achievements.
Another proud moment in Juan’s life was becoming an American citizen this year. He worked extremely hard to achieve this. When Juan put his mind to something, he always worked hard until he accomplished it. He was a man who was very determined to make the most out of his life, and that he did.
Juan left an impact on everyone’s life that he walked into. From friends, to family, to his “buddies” at work, he was loved by all. He was a hardworking man known for helping everyone in any way that he could. Anyone who knew Juan, knew what a charismatic, honest, and kind man he was. Juan enjoyed working on cars, doing yard work, and finding new projects around the house to work on. He always kept himself busy.
Juan is survived by his daughters Lauren, Selena, and Sierra Ramirez, his grandchildren Camarley and Ayvianna, and his siblings, Francisco, Arturo, and Maria Ramirez.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday Dec 23, from 8:30AM to 10:30AM at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic followed by a graveside burial at 11AM at St. Joseph Cemetery Club Rd, Windham. Due to COVID, face masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed. To send an online expression of sympathy, please visit www.baconfh.com
