Obituary for Juliette (Bergeron) Samson
Juliette (Bergeron) Samson, 86, of Willimantic, died suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday, 3/21/06, at Douglas Manor in Windham. She was born in St. Come P.Q. Canada on August 30, 1919 the daughter of Emerilda and Thaddee Bergeron.Her family moved to Fall River, MA when Juliette was an infant and in 1920 they moved to Scotland, CT. In 1938, she married Azarias “Sam” Samson who predeceased her in 1993. She and her husband operated Samson’s Market on Jackson St. for many years. She leaves two daughters: Diane Parker and son-inlaw, Gene of Windham and Claire Leiper and son-in-law, Jim of Burleson, TX. She also leaves her beloved sister, Jeanette Morin of Willimantic. She was predeceased by three brothers: Maurice, Marcel and Norman. She leaves five grandchildren: Michael (Sandee) Wheaton of Fort Worth, TX, Shelly Wheaton also of Fort Worth, Bill (Kim) Wheaton of El Cajon, CA, Jason (Katia) Parker of Portsmouth, RI and Justine Parker of Washington, DC. In addition, she leaves seven great grandchildren and a very close and special friend, Nan Rivard of Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 3/24/06, at 11 am in St. Joseph Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again Friday, from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Renovation Fund, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT 06226.
