Obituary for Lawrence George Peloquin
Lawrence George Peloquin of Windham, CT, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the age of 95.
 Larry was born on January 26, 1926, to father George and mother Beatrice. He grew up in Willimantic, CT. At the age of 17, ‘Larry’ enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country during World War II and rose to the rank of Coxswain. He returned from WWII, earned his high school diploma, and married his wife Olga. Larry went on to work for Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) of Willimantic, CT as a lineman for 30 years before retiring.Â
 Fascinated by the railroad and the circus, in his spare time Larry built and hand-crafted model railroad cars and circus scenes, listened to polka music, enjoyed time with family including weekly visits to the East Brook Mall, and attended weekly mass at St. Joseph’s Church. Larry was a life member of American Legion Post 19 and Elk’s Club.
 Larry is survived by his wife Olga, of 74 years; son Robert Peloquin and his wife Diane of Nashua, NH; son Mark Peloquin of Windham, CT; granddaughter Dawn Ghiorzi of Bedford, NH; grandson Justin Peloquin of Redlands, CA; grandson Corey Peloquin of Riverview, FL; and 8 great-grandchildren, and predeceased by his grandaughter Diana Howe of Hooksett, NH.
 A private church service and ceremony will be held for family and close relatives/friends.
