Obituary for Leo N. Vadnais
Leo N. Vadnais, 72, of Willimantic, died October 11, 2009 in St. Joseph Living Center in Windham, CT.
He was born October 19, 1936 in Willimantic the son of the late William and Blanche (Benjamin) Vadnais.
He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. Leo was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Willimantic.
His survivors include a sister, Shirley Bellows and her husband Douglas of Mansfield Center, CT; a brother, Leonard Vadnais of Fayetteville, NC; four nephews: Robert Vadnais of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ronald Vadnais and his wife Pam of Sanford, NC, Michael Vadnais and his wife Nellya of River Falls, WI and Thomas Bellows of Mansfield Center, CT. He also leaves four nieces: Donna Pfeiffer and her husband William of Coventry, Lori Vadnais of Manchester, CT, Gail Hoskins of Sanford, NC and Gloria and her husband Dr. David Magorien of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are special sisters-in-law Rita Vadnais of Willimantic, CT and Rita Edwards of Manchester, CT and several great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, 10/15/09, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic followed by a procession to St. Mary Church on Valley St. for the celebration of his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery on Club Rd. in Windham.
