Obituary for Leon E. T. Theroux
Leon E. T. Theroux, 69, of Windham, beloved husband of Diane I. (Beauregard) Theroux, died April 14, 2009 in Windham Hospital. He was born August 29, 1939 in Fall River, MA the son of the late Raoul and Mariepaul (Poutre) Theroux. He grew up in Westport, MA and resided in Connecticut for 43 years. He graduated from Diman Regional Vocational High School in 1959 and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years having been activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Leon was a tool & die maker employed by Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford for 43 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 19 and the Knights of Columbus San Jose Council 14 and Assembly 121 and a member of the 4th degree Color Corps. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Besides his wife, Diane his survivors include four sons: Russell T. Theroux of Windham, Eugene P. Theroux and his wife Karen of Stafford Springs, Conrad R. Theroux and his wife Juliette of Alexandria, VA and Philip C. Theroux and his wife Dawn of Tolland. He also leaves seven grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, 4/16/09, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 4/17/09, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church on Jackson St. Willimantic. Please assemble at church. The Committal Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel in Fall River, MA. Please omit flowers. Please visit www.baconfh.com to register your condolences online.
