Obituary for Lucille M. Desautels
Lucille M. Desautels (Garneau) passed to eternal life on April 5 at the Saint Joseph Living Center in Windham after a three-month illness. She was born in 1935 in St. Fortunat, Québec, Canada to the late Auréus and Fernande (Proulx) Garneau. At age 16, she moved to Willimantic where she met her husband Paul of 62 years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant sister Dénise, and brothers Dénis and Richard.

She believed deeply in the power of volunteering her time and talents to charitable causes, and was a longtime member of the St. Anne Society and St. Mary Ladies’ Guild of her parish—St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, Lucille is survived by her children Gisèle Russo (James), Claudette Marshall (Paul), Donald (Jo-Ann), Gérard, and Jacques (Cherilyn); her beloved grandchildren Danielle, Justine, Nicholas, Valeen, Bridget, Jacob, Dylan and Kyle; and great grandchildren Lilliana and Dominic.
