Obituary for Lynette D. Pepin
Lynette D. (Pais) Pepin, 75, of Willimantic, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on September 19, 2020 due to complications with COPD. She was surrounded by her husband,
Richard of 54 years and her daughters, Dawn and Diana. Lynette was born in Hartford and raised in Coventry, before marrying her husband Richard on her 21st birthday and residing in Willimantic. She is predeceased by her parents, Mose and Geraldine Pais, and siblings, Charles Pais, Joan Pais and Lois Brainard and her in-laws, Florimond and Florence Pepin.
She retired from UConn Dining Services as a chef manager. Lynette was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Willimantic. She had many hobbies like play cards, Scrabble and Bingo at Foxwoods as well as at the Elks Club. Lynette also loved watching and traveling to Eastern Softball games where her daughter, Diana is the head coach. Another one of her hobbies is watching University of Connecticut Women’s basketball.
Lynette is survived by her husband Richard of Willimantic, daughters Dawn of North Windham, Diana and her partner Becky Gianforte and her son Richard D Pepin both of Willimantic. She had 3 step grandchildren; Justin, Alyviah and Amelia Starr of CA and grand dogs, Lady, Lexi and Maui. Her in-laws Pauline and William Kelly of SC; Juliette and James Elliott of Canterbury, Janet and Rick Rake of East Hartford, and Donna and James Sharp of Canterbury; several nieces and nephews, Family and Friends and especially her best friend Linda Bassett.
Lynette's family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and staff at Hartford Hospital for all the care they gave her over the last two weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA. 22116-7023
