Obituary for Maria Teresa Insalaco
Maria Teresa Insalaco, 86, of Lebanon, wife of Anthony R. Insalaco passed away Wednesday April 24, 2019 at Backus Hospital, Norwich. She was the daughter of the late Antonio Mario and Rosie Angela Tambornini.
Born on September 7, 1932 in San Sebastiano Curone, Italy, Maria immigrated to the United States in 1955 and settled in Willimantic, where she met her husband Tony. They married on May 18, 1957 and moved to Lebanon, CT where they lived for 60 years. Maria always loved cooking and baking for her family and entertaining friends. Weekly Sunday dinners were a special time for her to bring the family together. She also loved to sew, knit, and play cards with friends. Most of all Maria loved her granddaughters, Hope and Faith. They were her special joy.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Rosalie Narita and her husband, Kyotaro of Norwich, a son, Peter Insalaco and his wife, Nancy of Preston; a brother, Ezio Tambornini and his wife Anastasia of Windham; 2 granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 2, 2019 at 11AM directly at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT. 06492.
