Obituary for Marie (Plourde) Tobin
Marie (Plourde) Tobin, of Hampton, CT, wife of the late Patrick J. Tobin, Sr. passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on October, 30, 2011.  Born March 28, 1916 in St. Francis, ME, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Delphine (Thibodeau) Plourde.  She moved to Connecticut with her family in 1942, settling in Hartford, until moving to Hampton in 1953. 
She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Hampton. 
She leaves her daughter Mona Tobin of Chaplin, sons Doyle P. Tobin and his wife Cindy, Richard J. Tobin and companion Louise LaPerle, and Peter B. Tobin all of Hampton. 
She also leaves a brother, Paul Plourde of Hampton, granddaughters Annie Tobin-Fickel of Newport, RI, Patricia St. Jean of Mansfield, CT, Kelly Steinke of Rocklyn, CA, Jaime St. Jean of Moosup, CT, Jennifer Tobin of Newport Richey, FL, Melanie Tobin of Germantown, TN, and as well as several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by sons, Joseph T. Tobin and Patrick J. Tobin, Jr., sisters, Delia Jandreau, Bess Dominique, Delphine Pelletier, and Leanne Dufour, and brothers, Rene, Alfred, and Peter Plourde
The family will receive friends on  Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT.  This will be followed by a procession to St. Mary Church on Valley St. for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery on Club Road in Windham.
