Obituary for Mary A Nahas
Mary Nahas was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of Adelard and Mary (Flanagan) Lasnier. She graduated from Plainfield High School and attended Willimantic State College in 1950, where she met and was united in marriage to the late Nicholas Nahas. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Surviving are a son, John and wife Pat Buxton of Vernon, CT, a daughter Sally and husband Peter O’Brien of Norfolk, CT. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Lasnier, (surviving sister-in-law Janet) of Moosup, CT. Also predeceased by her brother-in-law Salem Nassiff, (surviving sister-in-law, Ann) of Manchester, CT. Mary‘s sister-in-law, Rose Nahas, was a part of her family life on North Street for many years. Mary’s uncle, Bernard “Barney” Flanagan, meant so much to her. Her 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins were the light of her life. Mary had a close and special relationship with Michele Nahas. She felt great comfort watching the daily Mass on TV. Donations of sympathy may be made to the Office of Radio and Television, 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, CT 06712-1052. Her family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, 1/3/19, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham.
