Obituary for Mary (King) Vardon
Mary (King) Vardon, 87, of Lebanon, CT, widow of Leonard T. Vardon, died April 28, 2008 in Douglas Manor. She was born December 31, 1920 in Willimantic, CT the daughter of Arthur J. and Isabelle (Johnston) King. She was an Army veteran of World War 2. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending Quality time with her family. Her survivors include two daughters: Jo Ann Smith of Lebanon and her fiancé, Al Izzo and Kathy LeMay and her husband, Ronald of Coventry; five grandchildren: Karen Carter, Leonard Kinney, Mary Ann Jucius, Thomas Jucius and Beth Clairmont; four great grandchildren: Richard, Stephen and Damian Carter and Tasha Jucius. She also leaves an aunt, Belle Dunnack of Coventry, three step grandchildren and a grandnephew. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 4/30/08, at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 West Town St. Lebanon. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to V.N.A. of E.
