Obituary for Mary Rose Sposato
Mary Rose Sposato, 95, of Willimantic, wife of the late Frank Sposato passed away Sunday October 18, 2020, peacefully in her home. She was the daughter of the late James and Santa (Piscitella) DeMarco.
Born on June 13, 1925 in Windham, she lived in Willimantic for most of her life. She worked at Electro-Motive and then for Windham Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic, The Yolanda Italian Club and the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion.
Mary enjoyed taking her family on vacation every year for 43 years to Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island. There she spread laughter and cheer with her dear late friend Theresa, as well as, her late brother in law Mike and wife Virgina Sposato. Mary was also a lover of bowling, she bowled both ten pin and duck pin.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria Ouellette of North Windham and Christina Sposato of Willimantic; a sister. Antoinette Rondeau of Willimantic and her grandchildren, Cody and Roxanne. and a nephew, Patrick Joseph DeMarco. She was predeceased by her brothers, Nick, Joe and Ignatius DeMarco and their wives.
Graveside services will be held Thursday Oct 29, at 11AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT. 06226
