Patricia (Costello) Palmer, 76, of Willington passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday January 21, 2023.
A devoted sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was born on May 1, 1946 in Willimantic, CT to the late Thomas C. and Thelma M. (Garbark) Costello. She was a graduate of E.O. Smith High School Class of 1964. Pat was retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections. Throughout the years, she was involved with civic organizations, most notably the Junior Women’s Club of Willimantic and the M.S. Society, and most recently, the Mansfield Senior Center.
Pat is survived by her two brothers: Paul Costello of Mansfield and James Costello of North Windham; her three children: Laura (Christian) Milliken (James), Karen Christian (Raquel Onessimo) and Ronald Palmer, Jr.(Emily Harbec); seven grandchildren: Katelyn Milliken Nolan (Sean), Megan Milliken MacMullen (Nathaniel), Ryan Milliken, Logan, Casey, Maeve and Grace Palmer, and two great grandchildren: Harper and Finnegan Nolan.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday Jan 29, from 2 to 4PM at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday Jan 30, at 10AM at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
