Obituary for Philippe H. Chamberland

Philippe H. Chamberland, 91, of Willimantic, husband of the late Blanche (Desaulniers) Chamberland, died Tuesday, 1/10/06, in St. Joseph Living Center. He was born April 4, 1914 in Trois Rivieres, Canada the son of Hormidas and Marie Louise (Pailler) Chamberland. He was a Sheet Metal Worker at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from 1956 until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Chamberland was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War 2. He was a member of the V.F.W. Gold Star Post 1724, the American Legion James J. Shea Post 19, the Knights of Columbus Council and Assembly, The Franco-American Club, The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1440, the Willimantic Elks Lodge 1311, and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. His survivors include several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 1/12/06, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church in Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. Visitation will be Thursday, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
