Obituary for Pierre V. Lambert
Pierre V. Lambert, 73, of Willimantic, husband of Raymonde (Turgeon) Lambert passed away suddenly Saturday, April 25, 2020 at home. He was the son of the late Gerard and Therese (Boucher) Lambert.
Born in 1947 in Montreal, Canada, he came to Connecticut in 1965 to work at the former American Thread Mill. Later he worked at Concordia Thread in Coventry, RI. He completed his work career as a Security Guard at Mohegan Sun Casino for the last 18 years.
In addition to his career, Pierre volunteered for many years at the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry. Pierre was a member of the Knights of Columbus San Jose Council #14. He was an active member of Saint Mary Church in Willimantic in whatever capacity he was needed. Always willing to volunteer, his real passion and love was his family.
Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his sister Danielle Lambert of Repentigny, Quebec, and his three sons: Marco and his wife Linda (Shea) of East Peoria, Illinois, Stephan and his wife Tracy (Caouette) of Willimantic, and David and his wife Lynn (Doherty) of Vernon. He was also very proud of his five grandchildren: Stephan Jr., Gabrielle, Julia, Andrew, and Maximillian. He never tired of spending time with his family and entertaining them either as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve or with his many “collections”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Aug 8, at 1PM at St. Mary Church 57 Valley St, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St, Willimantic is serving the family. To send an online expression of sympathy, please visit www.baconfh.com.
