Obituary for Raymond A. Rail
Raymond A. Rail, 74, of Willimantic, beloved husband of Stefania (Szalankiewicz) Rail, died Friday, 11/17/06, at home. He was born March 16, 1932 in Killingly, CT the son of Imelda (Vertefeuille) Rail of Windham and the late Bert Rail. He had been employed by the U.S. D. A. Conservation Service. Raymond was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a life member of the Willimantic Elks, Lodge 1311 and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Besides his wife, Stefania, his survivors include two sons, Michael Naumec and his wife, Michelle and Paul Naumec and his wife, Linda; three daughters: Doreen Morse and her husband, Frank, Linda Iosbaker and her husband, Douglas and Cathy Flaherty. He also leaves three sisters: Janet Wallis, Dolores Bandas and Doris Miller. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Rail. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 11/21/06, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery in Willimantic. The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
