Obituary for Raymond N. Tellier

Raymond N. Tellier, 95, of Windham, husband of the late Evelyn (Kramer) Tellier, died March 20, 2008 in St. Joseph Living Center surrounded by his family. He was born August 4, 1912 in Willimantic the son of Phillippe and Imelda (Beaulieu) Tellier. He worked at Windham Hospital from 1979 to 2005. He was previously employed by the Brand Rex Co. for 32 years. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church. Ray was an avid UCONN basketball and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed gardening and the time he spent on the beach in Cape Cod with his family. He will be remembered most for his years of devotion to his wife and family. He touched many lives by being that friendly and reassuring face seen by patients opening their eyes, after surgery, in the Windham Hospital Recovery Room. The family gives special thanks to his dear friends Roberto, Robbie and his sweetheart, Olivia. His survivors include a son, Clifford Tellier of Plano, TX; a daughter, Carolyn Sypher and her husband, George L. of North Windham; five grandchildren: Dawn DeStefano and her husband Jerry, George Sypher and his wife, Mary, Heather, Jamie and Michael Tellier. Also surviving are five great grandchildren: Brandon, Ryan, and Sarah Sypher, and Kyle and Ashley DeStefano, who he loved very much. He also leaves a sister, Doris Carpenter of Windham and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Tellier and two sisters, Germaine Bartholomew and Cecilia Marrotte. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 3/25/08, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church in Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham. The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic.
