Obituary for Robert Alan (Bobby) Dutka
Robert “Bobby” Alan Dutka, 50, of Anchorage, AK, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Palmer, AK after a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 25, 1965 in Willimantic. He was the son of George and Veronica “Ronnie” Spinner of Willimantic and the late Harry Schors of Machias, ME. He is survived by his sister and best friend Marcia and her companion Jay Shanty; two half brothers, Harry and Chris Schors of Machias, ME; his godmother Mary Steward of Quaker Hill, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends including a special friend Deb Canfield Senger of FL. He was predeceased by his grandparents Lukian and Anna Dutka and a great Aunt Annabell Spinner. He lived and cooked in Florida before moving to Alaska. Robert was a cook at Victorian Lady, C.W. Walker, BachDor Café in Chaplin and Industrial Park in Curry, AK. He attended Windham Tech. Robert enjoyed cooking, photography, fishing, clamming and boating with his buddies Dave, Tim, Reese, Troy and Jimmy to name a few and of course being with his family. He was a fan of the Patriots and enjoyed UCONN basketball games. Robert was a fun, loving, caring, giving person. He would do what he could to put a smile on your face even if it was cracking a joke. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 8/7/15, at St. Joseph Church, Jackson St. at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Matsu Regional Medical Center, 2500 S. Woodworth Loop, Palmer, AK 99645 in his memory.
