Obituary for Robert Francois Beaudette
It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Robert F. Beaudette, 85, of North Windham. He was the son of Alphonse and Anna (Colette) Beaudette. He was reunited with his family and friends in eternal life on February 21, 2012. Born in Willimantic on October 22, 1926, he married the love of his life, Rhea E. Desautels on August 23, 1947. He also leaves behind his children, Susan Jurcik, husband Raymond, Terry Miller, husband Pete,  Bob Jr., Rene ,and Jan Beaudette, 12 grandchildren: Melissa, Holly, Ethan, Nils, Christina, Michelle, Saya, Lance, Pamela, Rachel, Kim, Brianna, three great grandchildren: Amanda, Siarra, Devin, and Lynnea. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, and sisters.Â
Bob was retired from UConn after 23 years as a Treatment Plant Operator. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Melville. He was honorably discharged in May 5, 1946. His great loves were "Beach Therapy", cars, RV-ing and traveling both home and abroad with his family, and "caching, caching".Â

His family will receive relatives and friends Friday, 2/24/12, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic, CT. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 2/25/12, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Valley St. Willimantic. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Windham, CT.
