Obituary for Rose Jane (Warinsky) Trudeau
Rose Jane (Warinsky) Trudeau, of Mansfield Center, CT, beloved wife of Roland Trudeau for 39 years, died January 19, 2013 at home. She was born May 5, 1922 in Scotland, CT the daughter of John and Sophie (Schultz) Warinsky. She had been employed by Pratt Whitney, Electro-Motive, and UConn Dining Halls. Rose was the heart of her family, always giving total unconditional love. She immensely enjoyed card playing, penny slot machines, and Huskies women’s basketball. Her quick wit and loving persona will be warmly held in the hearts and minds of those whose lives she touched. She will be especially missed by her family. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Willimantic. Her survivors include four children: Janet & Paul Generous and Sandra & Dennis Bailey all of Mansfield Center, Patricia Baxter of Taftville and Michael & Rani Trudeau of Willimantic; five grandchildren: Gary & Terri Generous of North Windham, Scott & Carrie Generous of Chesapeake, VA, Karen Bailey & Chris Macha of Mansfield Center, Joanna Baxter of Taftville and Mark Baxter of Florida. She also leaves four great grandchildren: Elyse Macha, Brianna Baker, Mark and Makayla Baxter, and a brother, John Warinsky and his wife Olive. She was predeceased by sisters: Anna Tomczyk, Emily Rood, Sophie Koziel and Margaret MacWay. The family especially thanks the ICU staff at Windham Hospital and Hospice of Eastern CT. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 1/23/2013, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St. Willimantic followed by a procession to St. Mary Church, Valley St. Willimantic for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church Renovation Fund, 80 Maple Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226.
