Obituary for Stanley J. Rybarz
Stanley J. Rybarz, 78, of Willimantic, died Monday, August 2, 2011, after a courageous battle with ALS, "Lou Gehrig's Disease".  He was born in Willimantic on May 5, 1933, to Stanley and Pauline (Warchol) Rybarz.He graduated from Windham High School.  After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army.  He served as a Military Police Officer and was honorably discharged. On January 21, 1956, he was united in marriage to Juanita (Brookover) Rybarz who survives him. He is also survived by his loving children Celeste Brochu and husband Joseph of Lisbon, CT, and Dr. Stanley J. Rybarz II and wife Kim of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and grandchildren Nicholas Brochu and Ryan and Adam Rybarz. He is also survived by two sisters, Irene Wengloski and her husband Nicholas of Lebanon, CT and Ethel Cholawa of Willimantic, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his brothers Edward Rybarz and Charles Musial and sisters Helen Rybarz and Stephanie Franke. Stanley was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed his family, loved the outdoors, and was an avid UCONN basketball and football sports fan. He will be missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect Street in Willimantic, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph's Church on 99 Jackson Street in Willimantic at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Willimantic with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Veteran's Administration Medical Center specifying "ALS Program".  The address:  Voluntary SVSS/135; VA Connecticut; 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516.
